FAQ's & Pricing

We’ve done our best to answer Osteopathy questions we hear the most below. If you still have any unanswered questions about Osteopathy and/or the Clinic please contact us and one of the team will be happy to help.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy works to help restore balance to the body by ensuring the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues are able to work well together and in doing so, correct any underlying issues that may have been causing you pain (such as backache and headaches).

Osteopaths use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms. They may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring.

What does treatment cost?

Associates  – Initial 1 hour treatments are £55. If follow-up treatment is required these are £55 per session.

Clinic Director (Edward Cossart) – Initial 1 hour treatments are £70 and if follow-up treatment is required these are £70 for a 30min session.

Are you registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)?

Yes we are. It is illegal to practice as an Osteopath in the UK without first qualifying as an Osteopath and then registering to practice with the General Osteopathic Council. You can search for our Osteopath’s registrations on the General Osteopathic Council’s website here.

Can you treat sports injuries?

We can help with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries such as those caused by running. Each case is different and we would encourage you to book an appointment so one of our Osteopaths can undertake a full evaluation of your injuries and advise if Osteopathy is appropriate for you.

Do you treat babies?

Yes we do. Osteopathy is a gentle treatment suitable for children and babies. Gentle osteopathic manipulation could help soothe and relax your baby. Osteopathic techniques are suitable for children at all stages of development; we will assess your child to see what might help.
